The Transformative power of Travel: Why we should explore the world

 Power of Travel

Travel is a excitement that begins even before we step out of our home. It is a adrenaline rush that starts at planning for vacation and ends when we drop back at our homes. Travel brings out the best in us , it brings out the part that wants to survive inspite of being challenged. It adopts to situations and laughs at silly things in the outdoors.

Power of Travel

Discovering amazing culture

As we set out to travel we shed our limitations to venture into a world filled with possibilities . We feel amazed as we look into things from different perspective and wonder that this can also happen. I was amazed to see disciplined auto-rickshaw Wala in Mumbai that stood in line to take customers. I was amazed at how everything tasted sweet at Mumbai restaurants. We feel amazed at how things can be different and we had a iron box idea of how things should be and travelling just shifts it. it makes us realize that world is beautiful tapestry of traditions.

Make new friends

When you travel to different parts of the world , you can make new friends . You get to meet people with different culture and traditions. You talk to them and share your stories and soon they will share theirs too. We get to learn different things from them. We can laugh together and understand each other even without talking. It is like a big adventure where you can make friends and have fun together.

Personal Growth

Whenever you face situation where you are uncomfortable , you are forced to take decisions that are not normal for you. You may have to try local food which may be the tastiest food that you have eaten in your life. You may be forced to take a route less taken which may have breathtaking views. You face your fears and you build confidence in life.
When you encounter unexpected situations you find creative solutions. Once I was stranded on my way to Yamunotri. No vehicle will stop for me. Every bus and taxi refused to take me ahead. At that time I asked for a lift from a truck driver which I have never done in my life. It turned out to be a good experience.

Rediscover yourself

Travel is like meditation when you leave the mundane routine of life to connect with yourself again. You see a magnificent mountain or a enormous ocean , it is way bigger than our existence. Experiencing those you just shup up and dive deeper. You gain clarity in your thoughts and you see new dreams in your eyes. You rediscover yourself and come home with a new energy.

Queen Devi and Daughter Vidisha helped in construction of Sanchi stupa . There is a special pillar made of sandstone that has Schism edict on it. History of Sanchi Stupa

A long time ago, there was a strong General named Pushyamitra Shunga who became the leader of Shunga Dynasty and He defeated the last emperor of Mauryan Empire, Brihadratha Maurya, in 185 BCE. When this happened , stupa was destroyed in parts due to the war. But then, Pushyamitra's son, Agnimitra rebuilt it and brought Stupa back to life again.

The Stupas became almost twice as big to show how much they respected Buddhism. They changed the dome from bricks to flat stone slabs. On top of the dome, they put three beautiful umbrella like things that stood for the 'Wheel of Law' or Dharma. if you go up the stairs you can reach a high spot where you think about things that are important in life.
