It all started with Jiji my friend planning to take vacation from his hectic job in marketing. He knowing my nature ,invited me to join. I was not the one to turn down the opportunity. It took whole month for Jijimon and Khan to plan our vacation to Manali......I could have done that in one day. (hehehe just pack the bag and go for Manali Trip)

Two tickets were ready for me and my wife ,we were going in Volvo. The stage was set to leave Delhi. The morning we had to leave for Manali , Meenu became excited to join us and all three of us were ready to salute Manali. We had to take bus from Chandralok building in CP, we were all on time. Jijimon had come with his sister, Khan with Vinod, Dilip with his wife and Anoop with his family....in all we were a group of eleven. The bus was late and it was getting dark .Simultaneously three buses came there and it was a scene of chaos. Nobody knew which bus to get into, as no staff person was there to guide the passengers.

    Everybody was worried what to do except me because  I had no ticket.....it was like you don't worry about exam if you have not read. My ticket had been hijacked by my twinkle eyed sister...boo...boo. Both of them got the seat but I was standing alone in the bus. The conductor asked me to pay for the ticket which I joyfully did but when asked about my seat ...he pointed towards the seat along side the driver. My ordeal had started.....help me God.

     Next morning we were up again to head towards snow capped mountains. It was very exciting to get ready for skiing at mountains. As the taxi travelled towards the mountain top we were told to rent a costume for cold weather. We hired the attire at the local shop there. It made me look like a bear. It was making my appearance puffier enhancing my already inflated belly.

        We reached the hill top and scores of taxies were parked there. Driver halted his taxi and told us to hire horses for our journey ahead. We jumped onto our horses and our fun filled journey marched ahead. Horses were going haywire and stumbling upon the boulders present on the track.
Jiji’s horse was taking his own path and Biji horse was slipping too much. We laughed a lot at that time and proceeded towards the snow filled mountains.
    After we reached the snow covered hills we were ready to ski. The skiing path was not very long but it served our purpose. We skied for two hours falling, laughing and entire episode ended with all of us throwing snow balls on each other.

We were tired and hungry so we sat down to have maggi (that was the only thing available at that point).We had to wait for quite some time for our turn to come for our maggi. We came back to our hotel after a great session of skiing.
                                                                             
     Next day was our last day and all our, which we started by going to river bank. We posed for some photos there and then someone came with rappelling gear. We were ready for rappelling over the river.

The sports club at Manali river bank where we had our lunch and tried our hand at lawn tennis. The tennis ball was never found after that.

 We completed our travel by going to local shopping complex. Jiji was busy shopping but we had no time to waste as our buses would leave for Delhi in the evening. We forced him out of the shops to reach bus stop on time. We boarded the bus towards Delhi but I was still standing in the bus without ticket.

Food at our hotel was delicious.Bob Dylan cafe for cookies and sandwitches.
Pizza olive for best pizza.
Green Forest cafe for tibetian cuisine.

Manali is 570 km from Delhi,320 km from Chandigarh,260 km from Shimla.
Airport-Buntur(Kullu) 50 km from Manali.
Train-Ambala cant or Chandigarh
